Mary Coleman is an experienced Registered Yoga teacher with more than 4000 hours of teaching yoga. Mary loves the practice of yoga and Ayurveda and integrates both into tasks of daily living transforming the mundane to the sacred. She believes that our bodies are like books written by Source. She feels that with a little guidance, we will remember how to read the book so that we can live lives of fulfillment and joy.

Mary’s core values are kindness, love, and that every being matters. She encourages her students to start from where they are. Mary encourages growth, transformation, courage, and success according to the needs of the student.

Mary teaches yoga in private sessions, yoga teacher trainings and workshops. She has been privileged to train over 250 yoga teachers in the Central Ohio area (from 2013-present). In 2020, Mary launched the Cherished Soul Yoga Advanced Yoga Teacher Training successfully certifying nine 300hr trained yoga teachers despite the pandemic! Mary continues to serve as a guest lecturer in several 200hr YTT offerings in Central Ohio.

She has continued to study avidly with a variety of teachers from different traditions. She has studied Ayurveda at The Himalayan Institute and with The Ayurvedic Institute. Her primary intention for studying Ayurveda is for her own self-care and helping her students integrate its self-care practice into yoga and daily life.

Mary uses her knowledge of yoga to support individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, trauma, and grief. She also coaches clients who are navigating transition points in life. Mary is honored to teach yoga at Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc’s Warrior Camp® program. Exciting News!

In the Summer of 2023 Mary's offerings will be relocated to The Be Sanctuary. Mary is excited to be in support of this new endeavor. The Be Sanctuary will be a place of 'Being, Becoming, and Belonging'. It will offer the community access to healing arts, community gathering and creative spaces.
